    Academy for Advancing Community (AAC) is comprised of three simultaneous sessions. You will be able to register for only one track. Please choose the track that you think fits you best.

    Track I: Tackling Tough Community Issues

    Increase the confidence and ability of community leaders to look at and address issues which are resistant to the usual approaches. You will....

    • Identify new tools for framing and analyzing tough, real-life issues.
    • Expand capacity to use on-going peer consulting as a source of
    new learning.

    Track II: Decision-Making for a Healthy Community

    Increase your effectiveness in decision making to create and sustain healthy community. It introduces the Cascading Decision-Making model which provides a way of analyzing tough decisions you are called on to make as a community leader. You will...

    • Understand decision-making as a process.
    • Identify three essential questions applicable to analyzing any decision.
    • Apply the Cascading Decision-Making model to a community
    related issue.

    Track III: Working Across Differences

    Enhance the capacity to work effectively across a wide range of differences that make a difference. You will...

    • Gain a broader and deeper understanding of the impact difference
    has on yourself and others.
    • Learn skills that help work across “differences that make
    a difference.”
    • Develop an action plan specific to a community issue.
